Weston Park Cancer Charity (Sheffield)
Services and referrals can include: –
- Financial advice- Macmillan Benefit Advisors/Grant applications
- Physical advice – Help and advice
- Social advice- Referrals to appropriate services to aid you with daily tasks
- Psychological and emotional support – various therapies including Mindfulness, massage, relaxation or joining some of the other group sessions.
All services are free of charge.


Away from this site the Centre also runs The Big Purple Bus
We bring our cancer support services directly to the local communities, across the region, with our Big Purple Bus.
This crucial step is helping us ensure people across South Yorkshire have equal access to cancer support services. Cancer can cause physical, emotional and financial challenges, but Weston Park Cancer Charity is here to help.
The Big Purple Bus brings our Healthcare Professionals and Advisors to the community, making it easier than ever to access support. Our team on board are friendly and welcoming, no question is too big or too small for them. So, if you spot our Big Purple Bus when you’re out and about, please feel free to come and have a chat.
What does our Big Purple Bus offer?
- One to One support – for anyone affected by cancer from our friendly, supportive Healthcare Professionals and Advisors. We can offer emotional, financial, practical support and advice.
- Welfare advice – we offer welfare appointments with Citizens Advice Sheffield on Monday mornings (Manor) and Friday mornings (Darnall), find out more here.
- Most importantly, friendly faces and a welcoming environment - with a free tea or coffee. No question is too big or small for our Big Purple Bus Team.
Free transport service


Don’t let travel concerns prevent you from accessing the treatment you need. If you require transport between Chesterfield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Meadowhall to any of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals sites for cancer treatment, we can help.
The service is free and runs twice daily from various pick-up points, with some offering free parking.

We have various pick up locations in Barnsley, you must book on before using our service.
